I.T. jobs are tough?
I’m in my mid 20s, and I have been working in I.T. for four years. I really start to **** it because it’s a very tough job. I chose it because I loved technologies. Now, I realize that it’s just a customer service job no matter what level you are – senior, manager, vp or etc. Can’t the users give us a break and stop giving us a hard time? Don’t they know our jobs are very tough – dealing with BS everyday? Don’t they have any empathy? They’re all selfish. They just demand stuff and want us to satisify them. I’m working on something to change my career. No way I will stay in I.T.
Also, they think we know it all. If we don’t, we’re ignorant and incompetent.
and no, i’m not a help desk. I’m a system administrator.
Can someone please explain to me in detail why unemployment remained so high from the late 60’s to mid 80’s?
I am unclear on a cohesive reason for said sluggish job growth.
Did I say anything about the years 1990-2000? I asked why job creation was so sluggish between the late 60’s and mid 80’s. I have the graph of unemployment if you want to see it.
No one will get a best answer here. These answers suck, plain and simple.
I take my earlier comment back. Lol
What a dad said to his kids about drugs?
Since me & my sisters were in our mid teens, my dad has always said to us.. If you’re going to do any drugs- smoke a bowl or a joint, Everything else will ruin you. Well, none of us are potheads, we all have jobs and lead good, normal lives. Also, none of us have ever gotten into drugs. I think this is a good method. Anyone think differently, or agree?
Should I change jobs?
I am a little torn about job possibilities. I currently work for a large government agency, and I really enjoy the job. I get along well with my bosses and most coworkers and only slightly annoyed with one coworker (person’s work ethic is terrible). I have been with the agency for only a year and a half and have only been in this particular position for about 6 months. I am content with my salary although I think the coworker with terrible work ethic makes as much as I do yet I have more experience and more education directly related to the job. I do not think there is much job growth here, and I am only in my mid-20s. Another possibility has come about where I would make more money per day but it is less money yearly. However workdays drop from 261 a year (the 10 federal holidays) to 210 days a year with the other job. The other job also would use more of my skills related to a grad degree I’m working on now and appears to have job growth. Is this worth changing jobs?
