I work for a British company based in the USA(new york city). I’ve become increasingly frustrated with my companies hiring practice of bringing over mid level management to do work that I have no doubt can be done by qualified Americans.
I thought that for comanies to hire foreign nationals in the US, the company had to advertise the position in the US for certain amount of time. Only then if they could not find suitable applicants they could open it up to overseas applicants. What bothers me is that these jobs are not specialized and can be done by locals. If anyone has knowledge in this area I would appreciate some answers.
