"cc", it is truly a show of "character" on your part to "step up" in support of your dad. I have consulted many of all ages on careers, direction in life, education, family, finances, relationships, etc., by no means as a professional, but where it counts, "practical experiences", in life. Why? I too have been successful, since a kid mowing grass, in every venture I attempt. I have a proven character, anyone can talk to me in private knowing the discussion stays here, I have a superb relation with my family, I make money, stay active, work out for fitness, date pretty, successful women, etc. YOUR DAD, too, is of the same nature and WILL be successful as well.

What a "cool" job with theme parks but I cannot fully agree with YOU, or restaurants, feeling the economic "crunch". I live in North Atlanta area and visit "theme parks" often, especially, Six Flags Over Georgia and Busch Gardens, Tampa, FL. Why? Restaurants in Atlanta and other cities I visit are extremely busy. Theme parks I visit, "crowded" as well. I can tell YOU this, people, regardless of the economy, are going to eat well, especially at restaurants enjoyed, and, above ALL, have "fun" in life, the Theme Parks, myself included.

I will be 49 this October and YOU can share this with your dad. This is my working career and YOUR dad must understand, our generation "Baby Boomers" grew up as kids with working dad's staying with same company till retirement. This ALL changed somewhere as we began careers, families, etc., creating OUR need to "diversify", taking those unfamiliar "steps". I looked at it as though I was starting over once again in employment, being trained all over as a "rookie".

WE NEED CHANGE to stay "healthy" and "sharp". I did so many times with some disappointments.

Dear Friend,
It is very encouraging to know that a young one is concerned about his parents. I appreciate You very much.I don't know about your country but, it looks very much the Indian way.
Young friend, it is never too late to do anything in life. I myself am 50 years and have started working on the net two years back and i am making money on line and feeding my family. Always be positive.
About the real issue of jobs, i would suggest that Your dad have a look at the upcoming economy of India and China these days. These countries are having an economic boom and they are hiring people from outside there respective countries for leisure related projects. If i am right the jobs will be in the range of $90 K and even more.
I would prefer India as the destination as the Indians can speak and understand english language more than the chineese can.
Best of Luck and a Happy Future!

he may be safe for now. many people are doing day trips to theme parks instead of full-fldged vacations for the same reason you worry about his job. unless the **** hits the fan and really gets bad, he shouldnt worry. i'd bet he has a good severance package waiting if he does lose his job, because usually jobs like his do. if i win the lottery, i'll hire him to be my money manager.
