I want to gain skills in a new area, but cannot get another degree. I have experience in retail and retail management, but want to gain more diverse skills to make it in a smaller community. If I take a college class to gain the knowledge would that count without a new degree? Most employers do not look at or ask for a college transcript. For instance, the college offers advanced managerial math, and banking classes. How do employers view knowledge without other degrees? I do not have the money or time to get a BA before I move. I want to get an entry to mid level job in administrative work, but have limited experience in it.
