I’ve finally been offered a job at a boat yard, he sounds like a really down to earth nice guy to work for…but yet we’ve discussed just about everything but pay, I went to meet with him at 9am today and he wasn’t there, his secretary said he has an emergency to attend to, so tomarrow I have to meet with him again at 9am, now he never asked me to even fill out an application, I found this job in a local newspaper, and I told him over the phone I didn’t really have any boating expertise, “so to speak”, and that I am an excellent laborer with moving stuff around, organizing, stocking, and low to mid level maintenance of assembling thing’s etc. he said great, ” I’ve really been looking for someone to do those type of thing’s around the boat yard, and maybe I can get your foot in the door here, finding you a proper position suitable for your labor your offering…”, so if he ask’s me what I wan’t an hour, what should I tell him, I am the only one working in my family, with 2 boy’s…
Interview question coming up at boat yard?

I hope, if you already had this meeting, that it went well.
You certainly can explain that you would want to make a certain amount of money. You don’t necessarily need to tell them why.
And, check around if you can, find out what starting labor wages are in the area – that’s likely a reasonable place to begin.
Best of luck!
