burnt_helium asked:

I was watching a show on TV that follows a team of DEA agents on drug busts and it really opened my eyes to how little they do. For the millions of dollars that fund various federal agencies and the billions the US spends on funding the war on drugs in the US an overseas, what do we have to show? In reality, these agencies make less than a scratch on the overall drug trade and traffic into the US, but their mission continues in vain. I think it is so funny when they spend thousands on one operation, and they bust a couple of ***** heads who just got out of prison and confiscate like $50 bucks worth of drugs, which in reality will cost tax payers thousands to incarcerate inmates, process court costs, pay public defenders, and the pay salaries and overtime of the cops who have to know the reality of their jobs.

Like, how can you be so dumb to be a cop, especially one who works in Vice or narcotics? You are risking you lives everyday to bust low and mid level dealers. What a bunch of morons. Im sorry, they are probably great people, but they risk leaving their wives widows and their kids parentless, all because they went to work to keep crackheads safe from other crackheads.

Especially when it comes to keeping pot off the streets. that is really keeping violence in society low. lets get the pot off the streets, so all the pot heads get really cranky and unsedated. Thats a great idea
